To Join

If you'd like to join, no problem! Mello would LOVE to have you as a devoted uke in his army. Just keep in mind that we have a few guidelines.

We believe that Mello is a seme. With everyone. No matter who it is. He tops Matt, he tops Near, he tops L, he WOULD top B if it wasn't for that damn bondage...
No bashing on either side of the aisle. If you like uke!Mello, that's fine - there are other clubs for that. But if you don't like uke!Mello, leave the uke!Mello fans alone... even if they are poor, misguided souls.
No advertising for other clubs on our club. If you want a good word put in, just ask to affiliate.

To Submit

Here at Seme-Mello, we'll be following the growing popularity of the Favorites Gallery Submissions - that is, taking advantage of the favorites gallery folders and naming them according to their contents. This is really one of the best systems for a number of reasons.

Since there's less involved, there's absolutely no limit to the number of deviations you can submit to the club.
You don't have to worry about the club getting the favorites you should be getting.
You don't submit art or fan-fiction? That's fine. It's easier for you, the viewer, to browse with the folders system, and you don't have to worry about getting in trouble by favoriting club submissions!

However, we do have some rules for submissions.

To submit a deviation, just send a note titled "Submissions", or something relatively close to that. We'll organize it in the proper gallery.
You can submit three categories of art - Mello by himself, Mello in a platonic relationship, or Mello in a romantic (or not-so-romantic) relationship. However, Mello MUST be one of the main focuses in the piece, and he must appear / act manly in all pictures or fan-fiction. If it's a romantic relationship, he must be the dominant one. If it's him by himself or platonic, he must appear masculine.

I know. I know. Questions. Here's some anticipated Q&A!

Q: But... I don't think Mello's a seme.
A: Then you're in the wrong club.

Q: There's a lot of art of Mello crossdressing... is that acceptable?
A: Depends on his attitude. I know people like to put Mello in dresses. A submission of Mello in girl's clothes would be fine as long as he's pissed off about it.

Q: Are any pairings welcome? Like, even non-yaoi pairings?
A: Of course. All conceivable Mello pairings are welcome here. Mello x Matt, Mello x Near, Mello x Light, Mello x Misa, Mello x Sayu... it's all good.

Q: What if I don't like a certain pairing?
A: Don't look at the gallery.

Galleries will be sorted this way - a gallery featuring Mello by himself, a gallery featuring Mello in non-romantic pictures with other characters, and individual galleries for pairings. There will be no individual fan-fiction galleries, because then we would just have far, far too many.
